FROM ORDINARY TO EXTRAORDINARY - a 2.5-day intensive creative wedding photography and lighting workshop

Go on a 2-day 3-night journey with Louis that will bring your artistry and business to the next level with his dynamic approach. You will be inspired, challenged and entertained with the unforgettable shoots on the street of Kuala Lumpur. Louis will give practical hands-on coaching that empowers you with the tools and skills that transform the ordinary to extraordinary.

In time where everyone who carries a DSLR is a wedding photographer, differentiating ourselves from our competitors is the only way to go to the top of the pile. The safest bet is to be risky and extraordinary. Often we hear photographers moaning that they could produce better pictures if only our bride look more like Vogue magazine’s cover girl or the location was set at an exotic five-star resort. Louis, however, will show you how to create extraordinary images in seemingly mundane settings that exceed your clients’ expectations and have them raving about about.

Course will cover:

• Learn how a camera read a scene so you can get it right on camera
• Think and see outside the box because everything lies in our vision
• How to build a creative-library for new ideas and inspiration
• Shoot from the hip and think on your feet
• Using depth and negative space
• Outdoor & indoor on-location lighting
• Single light source portraiture
• Working on multiple flash lights remotely
• Posing and directing that create natural & sexy-looking images
• Visual and emotive communication with our clients
• Practical tips on disarming our clients’ self-consciousness & relaxing them for the shoot
• Outdoor location shoots with models where Louis will walk you through his thinking process & demonstrate his techniques.
• Attendees will be shooting under the guidance of Louis as well

What to bring:

• A DSLR
• Camera instruction book or manual
• Lenses : wide angle - 24-70mm or 50mm, f1.4 or f1.8 or 85mm, f1.4 or f1.8 (preferred lenses to bring but not absolutely required for this class)
• A flash
• A reflector
• Notepad or scrapbook to take your own notes - I do not spoon-feed attendees with prepared notes.
• Pen
• A laptop installed with Photoshop
